With the help of      Rman Jack     and     Maynard    ,
I finally figured out how to get into DEBUG mode again.

This is what I did:


PartA -  Making a shortcut

1.  find the shortcut you normally use to play Warzone2100 (e.g. for some people it may be  "Warzone 2100 3DFX"
2.  Right mouse click on it.
3.  Copy it
4.  Paste onto desktop   *
5.  Rename this new shortcut  ( I called mine "Warzone 2100 Debug" )
6.  Right click on this new shortcut
7.  click on "properties"
8.  under the "shortcut" tab, take a look at the "Target:" field window
 8a.  After the very last character type: " -imacheatingscallywagger"
 8b.  Important!  There must be a space before the hyphen ( 1 space only).  There is no space after the hyphen.
 8c.  There is no period after  " -imacheatingscallywagger" Do not put one there.
 8d.  There are 2 L's and 2 G's in the word.  Please don't leave any consonants out.
 8e.  There are no quotation ("  ")marks around  -imacheatingscallywagger ( i have just used it for emphasis in this document )
9.  At the bottom click the "Apply" button
10.  Take a deep breath.  



PartB  -  Activating Debug mode

1.  Start Warzone2100 with the shortcut you have just created
1a.  See notes below   **
2.  Once the GAME STARTS type "?"  .
  So in english this is what you do:  The GAME START occurs when you see the the time clock ticking. (Your game may say "Mission Timer Activated".)  Then you will hit these two keyboard keys simultaneously   SHIFT and ?
(Before the clock ticking, you may see a mission briefing and/or warzone motion-pictures.  This is not the START of the GAME.  Do not type "?" here.  It will not do anything.)
3.  Debug mode will be activated now.
  It should display near the upper left corner :  "Disclaimer: you have cheated" 
  It should display near the bottom left corner :  "Debug Mode"  or something to that effect.
4.  Take a deep breath. No one said it would be simple.




Notes:

- I am using warzone2100  the update version 1.10

 *  After you create the shortcut you can place it anywhere you want to.  I put mine on the desktop because its handy.

**  About 1&1/2 - 2 years ago,  I found directions+ on debug mode on the internet.  I no longer know who the author was or which URL I got it from.  I found these directions frustrating, however there was a line about activation that may be useful. If you cannot get debug mode to work, try this line of instruction and insert it at step "1a." above:
       "...click on the options menu, then key mappings, then click on the trash icon.  Once you do that start a single or skirmish game."
